For Nike‘s latest collection of soccer shoes for the small-sided game, the athletic brand took inspiration from some of its own most-beloved Air Max sneakers.
The NikeFootballX Heritage Pack — which debuts Sunday on the Nike Football app and hits Nike.com on Tuesday — includes retro-tinged versions of its Magista, Mercurial, Hypervenom and Tiempo performance styles.
Specifically, the MercurialX boot is an ode to the Air Max 90; the HypervenomX pops just like the Air Max 95; the MagistaX boot takes color cues from the Air Max 180; and the TiempoX shoe takes it all the way back, paying homage to the Air Max 1.
To compare their similarities yourself, check out the photos below.
First up is the MercurialX, with a Flyknit upper in a familiar gray, black and red combo.

Next is the HypervenomX that, like its predecessor, combines subtle gray tones with neon color pops.

The MagistaX, meanwhile, captures the Air Max 180’s understated aesthetic.

And the TiempoX surprisingly references the blue Air Max 1 instead of the better-known red colorway.
