Nike Celebrates Kobe Bryant With Black Mamba Pack

Kobe Bryant‘s retirement celebrations continue with Nike‘s Black Mamba pack, which is set for release Tuesday. The collection features all 11 of Bryant’s signature shoes, plus the Huarache 2K4 and the original Hyperdunk from 2008, all of which he wore on the basketball court. The name, of course, pays tribute to Bryant’s nickname, Black Mamba.

The collection starts in white colorways and fades toward black as a metaphor for the lead up to Bryant’s final regular-season game, which is scheduled for April 13, when his Los Angeles Lakers host the Utah Jazz.

The Bryant tributes don’t end here. The Philadelphia Art Alliance is opening an exhibit called “Farewell Mamba: A Sneaker Art Tribute to Kobe Bryant” on April 3. The exhibit will feature large mixed-media pieces, sneaker illustrations, 3-D paintings and more. Bryant, who has played his entire NBA career in Los Angeles, was born in Philadelphia and attended high school in nearby Ardmore.
