All Four College Football Playoff Teams Will Be Sponsored by Nike

The selection committee made its decision on the four teams that will appear in the College Football Playoff at the end of the month. And aside from being beasts on the gridiron, those teams all have something in common: Nike.

All four teams that will compete in the playoff games on Dec. 31 — the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Clemson Tigers and the Washington Huskies — all rock Nike on the field. And to football fans who swear they see the Swoosh every year during the College Football Playoff, you’re right: Since the inception of the playoff format three years ago, Nike has outfitted all 12 teams that have participated.

To keep the players of the schools it sponsors ready for action, Nike will outfit the teams in the latest and greatest cleats it has to offer. According to the brand, players on the four teams will be wearing the Vapor Untouchable 2 (and Vapor Untouchable 2 Pro), the Alpha Field General and the Force Lunarbeast Elite (and Force Lunarbeast Elite Pro) for the New Year’s Eve matchups and the Jan. 9 championship game.

Aside from the cleats, Nike will keep the teams in its best uniforms during the tournament. The Nike Vapor Untouchable Speed uniform will be worn by Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson, and the Speed Machine Hypercool uniform will be worn by Washington.
