Nike’s ‘Unlimited’ Campaign Features Cameos By Hollywood Stars And Olympic Medalists

Nike has added a touch of Hollywood star power to its latest ad campaign for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The sportswear brand’s “Unlimited You” commercial debuted Thursday, featuring a roster of actors opposite sports stars and Olympic medalists, a day ahead of the Rio Games’ opening ceremony.

Narrated by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor Oscar Isaac, the hilarious and inspiring video highlights the athletic potential that everyday people have as they faceoff against pros and other famous faces.

Among the competitions, the amateurs vie against “Suicide Squad” actress Karen Fukuhara in character as Katana in a fencing battle and Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from “Game of Thrones” gets in the wrestling ring with a young boy.

More cameos include Olympic medalists and athletes such as Serena Williams (tennis), Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant (basketball), Neymar Jr. (soccer), Raj Bhavsar (gymanastics) and Mo Farah (track and field).

Other Nike-sponsored pros make appearances, too, including Miami Marlins baseball player Giancarlo Stanton and skateboarder Nyjah Huston, whose sports were recently announced as additional competitions in the 2020 Olympic Games.

The video shows a scene featuring a golf competition after announcing Wednesday plans to focus its golf division on shoes and apparel rather than making equipment such as clubs, balls and bags.

In July, Nike released a commercial for the “Unlimited You” campaign with LeBron James.
