Odell Beckham Jr. Wore Custom Nike Air Mag-Inspired Cleats At The Pro Bowl

Odell Beckham Jr.’s team may not have won the Pro Bowl on Sunday at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, but he certainly had the best footwear on the field.

The New York Giants wide receiver wore a pair of custom Nike cleats designed to look like the coveted Air Mag sneakers. K_O Brand by Kickasso, a Los Angeles customizer, created the cleats for Beckham Jr.

Beckham Jr. is no stranger to custom cleats. During the season, he wore a pair of “Peanuts”-inspired cleats and a pair that nodded to the comic book villain The Joker. He took some heat for The Joker cleats, as some viewed it as a jab at Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, who goes by the nickname “Batman.”

The two Pro Bowl teams were drafted by Hall of Fame wide receivers Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin. Irvin’s team won 49-27.

In November, Bekcham Jr. told Footwear News that his love of sneakers started young.

“One day I hope to create my own style, but for now I wear other things,” he said. “I’m picking up a lot of tips on sneaker design from my teammate Victor Cruz’s new shoes.”

He also told FN that his “dream would be to have the Nike Air Mags.” While he didn’t exactly get the real thing, he’s getting a lot closer.
