How To Get Patrick Ewing’s 1992 Olympic Dream Team Sneakers

For some of us, the 1992 Olympic “Dream Team” will always be the greatest collection of basketball players ever.

As the first American Olympic team to feature pro players, it included legend after legend: Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippin and, of course, Patrick Ewing.

As another group of hoops stars prepares to make its mark this summer in Rio, Ewing Athletics is commemorating the 1992 team’s accomplishments by rereleasing Patrick Ewing’s signature Eclipse sneaker.

This marks the first comeback for the Eclipse high-top, which features Ewing’s No. 6 Olympic jersey number instead of his usual 33.

The sneaker is being offered in two OG colorways: There’s a black/red/navy makeup and  the white/navy version that Ewing wore in competition.

According to the brand, this has been the most requested sneaker since the label relaunched four years ago. In part that’s because only two members of the Dream Team had signature sneakers available for purchase with their names and Olympic numbers: Ewing and Jordan.

The Ewing shoes will make their return on Friday, retailing for $120 at select sneaker stores such as Jimmy Jazz. Most stores will carry sizes 5 to 13, but larger sizes will be available at Ewingathletics.com.

And if you want to try to get your hands on the Jordan Olympic sneakers, they’re selling on eBay for anywhere from $200 to $1,000.
