Celebrate Alien Day With Reebok’s Alien Stomper Sneakers

Today marks Alien Day in celebration of the 1979 film “Alien,” which starred Sigourney Weaver and had sequels in 1986, 1992 and 1997. Reebok is getting in on the fun and releasing its iconic Alien Stomper sneakers that Weaver wore in 1986’s “Aliens” as her character Ellen Ripley.

The high-top sneakers — featuring a red tongue, plus straps over the midfoot and on the ankle — are available today on Reebok.com at noon EDT and in select retailers for $175. The shoe will be offered in both a high-top and mid-calf version. The mid version was worn by Lance Henrikson as Android Bishop.

When the announcement was made about the release of the sneakers, Twentieth Century Fox said that the kicks are “one of the most-requested licensed products” from the franchise.
