Russell Westbrook‘s Oklahoma City Thunder fell 121-118 to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night at home. Despite Westbrook’s 26 points and 13 assists, Warriors star Stephen Curry hit a buzzer beater 3-pointer to lift the Warriors over the Thunder.
Westbrook, who helped Jordan unveil its Jordan XXX on Feb. 12, debuted a player’s edition of the shoe with orange accents.
Westbrook also wore a special-edition pair to play in the NBA All-Star Game in Toronto earlier this month. He dropped 31 points and had eight rebounds and five assists in just 22 minutes of game time, so it was no surprise that he was named the game’s MVP.
The Air Jordan XXX is a lightweight performance sneaker that features a woven upper, improved toe cap from the Air Jordan XX9 and FlightSpeed cushioning technology. Westbrook is the first to debut the shoe on court.
Late last year, Foot Locker debuted an ad starring Westbrook titled “Fly Your Own Way,” encouraging customers to stay true to themselves.
