Ryan Lochte And Team USA Olympic Swimmers Show Off Yeezy Boost 350 Shoes Before Gunpoint Robbery In Rio

Ryan Lochte and three other Team USA swimmers are safe after being robbed at gunpoint while celebrating their performances at the Rio Olympic Games.

The gold medalist was partying Saturday at Club France nightclub in Rio de Janeiro, along with teammates Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen, and Brazilian swimmer Thiago Pereira. They documented the revelry on Snapchat before they were mugged early Sunday morning.

Before the drama unfolded, the swimmer and his teammates showed off their expensive footwear on his Snapchat account, including two pairs of black Yeezy 350 boosts.

“6k deep,” he captioned the photo.

The Adidas shoes designed by Kanye West retail for $200, but are currently unavailable on the sportswear brand’s website.

West’s black 350s were rereleased on Feb. 19, and in March, demand soared so high that a pair reportedly sold for more than $10,000 on eBay.

Speaking to NBC’s “Today” show on Sunday, Lochte said the only valuables stolen were their wallets and money.

“We got pulled over, in the taxi, and these guys came out with a badge — a police badge, no lights, no nothing, just a police badge, and they pulled us over,” he said.

“They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground — they got down on the ground. I refused. I was like, ‘We didn’t do anything wrong, so I’m not getting down on the ground.’ And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, ‘Get down,’ and I put my hands up. I was like, ‘Whatever.’ ”

Lochte is such a fan of Yeezy Boost sneakers that in May he named his new French Bulldog after the footwear. The swimmer, who donned Ralph Lauren boat shoes at the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympic Games, owns several pairs of Yeezy Boost 350s, including the black, tan and original Turtle Dove colorways.
