The victory places her into second place for career Slam titles after Martina Navratilova, whose career record is 306-49. Williams is now 300-42.
On the court, Williams rocked a pair of her white NikeCourt Flare QS tennis shoes during the game and will advance to the finals.

The ultralight upper features breathable mesh with fused overlays to support natural-feeling movements at maximum speed. The extended-stretch ankle collar substitutes for a traditional tongue, wrapping the midfoot in a socklike way for stability.
The footwear, which retails for $200, is available on the label’s website.
