All You Need to Know About Sneaker Con NYC

After months of anticipation and promotion, the first two-day Sneaker Con event in New York City is set to take place this weekend (beginning on National Sneaker Day). For those looking to attend, there is plenty to experience over the two days aside from buying, selling and trading the hottest sneakers to ever hit the market. With the event less than three days away, FN broke down the details you need to know when making your way to the venue.

DATES, TIMES AND LOCATION

The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Javits Center North, located at 608 W. 40th St. Doors will be open each day from noon to 7 p.m.

ADMISSION

A two-day pass will run you $40 (plus a $3.19 fee if tickets are bought online); a pass for just Saturday or Sunday costs $25 (plus a $2.37 fee). Sales end for the two-day and the Saturday only pass on Nov. 5, and the Sunday-pass sale ends on Nov. 6.

Traveling from out of state? Or just need a place to lay your head after the event? The Archer Hotel — located on 38th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues — is the official hotel of Sneaker Con. A special rate for attendees is offered by the hotel online.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

For those interested in making sure their stellar kicks are real and not knockoffs, the event will feature Sneaker Con Authenticated, where you could bring your sneakers to get checked for authenticity. If you’re interested in trades, the Sneaker Con Trading Pit is where you need to be: The event’s open space dedicated to all buying, selling and trading for the general public. And if you’d like to meet your favorite famed sneaker collectors, visit Sneaker Con Legends, an area where you’re able to meet and greet sneakerheads of note such as Sneaker YouTube star Qias Omar and the DreamQrew. Also, the organizers will host the second Sneaker Con Hoops Classic on Sunday, with teams made up of the biggest Sneaker YouYube content creators.
