SoleFly Is Releasing a Limited-Edition Air Jordan Collaboration for Art Basel Miami Beach

It has only been a few weeks since the release of SoleFly’s Florida Marlins-inspired Air Jordan 23 collaboration, but the Miami-based boutique has already begun gearing up for its next limited-edition drop.

This time around, the store owned by Michael Jordan‘s brother-in-law, Carlos Prieto, is getting a chance to work on the Air Jordan 16 model. Based on the teaser images shared on Instagram, we can see that the collaboration will use a white leather-based upper that’s been given an ostrich print treatment on its signature mid-foot shroud. It also features subtle “SF” branding in place of the traditional Jumpman logo at the shroud’s button.

The remaining details for the SoleFly x Air Jordan 16 have yet to be unveiled, but if the store’s previous collabs are any indication, this one is going to be special. The release is set to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach, which kicks off Dec. 1 and lasts until Dec. 4.

In addition to this upcoming collaboration, the Air Jordan 16 is getting a strong push from Jordan Brand as it receives its first full-on retro campaign. On Nov. 5, a Trophy Room x Air Jordan 16 collaboration dropped, and the sneaker was recently spotted on the feet of Charlotte Hornets player Frank Kaminsky in a Veterans Day-inspired camouflage colorway. That’s not all: The Air Jordan 16 will also be releasing its original “Midnight Navy” style on Dec. 22.
