Stephen Curry wasn’t rusty Monday night after sitting the bench for the beginning of the series against the Portland Trail Blazers rehabbing a knee injury. The Under Armour-sponsored guard instead returned in historic fashion.
Curry came off the bench for the Golden State Warriors in his team’s Game 4 matchup against the Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore., and dropped 40 points, including an NBA record 17 points in overtime. The guard — wearing a blue, yellow and white colorway of the Under Armour Curry 2.5 — shot 16-of-32 from the field during the 132-125 win, including shooting 5-of-16 from downtown.

Golden State leads its second-round series against Portland 3-1, with Game 5 scheduled for Wednesday at the Oracle Arena on Oakland, Calif.
The guard out of North Carolina’s Davidson College is racking up the accolades this season. The reigning Kia NBA Most Valuable Player is set to win the award for the second straight season, after leading his team to an NBA best 73-9 regular-season record. This season saw the release of a pair of Under Armour signature shoes for Curry: the Curry Two (launched globally in October) and the Curry 2.5 (which will make its retail debut on May 28).
