Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors continued their push to make NBA history with another win Tuesday night, this time over John Wall and the Washington Wizards, increasing the Dubs’ chances to eclipse the league’s best regular season record of 72-10, set by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in 1995-96.
Curry, rocking a gold and tonal blue player’s edition colorway of his second signature shoe with Under Armour, the Curry Two, dropped 26 points in 35 minutes of play. The superstar guard also dished out seven assists and grabbed seven rebounds.
Wall, the star Wizards guard playing across from Curry, did not fare as well Tuesday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. The former Adidas athlete – wearing the “Copper” iteration of the Air Jordan 17 – scored the least of any Washington starter, dropping just eight points in the loss. Wall had 11 assists and five rebounds in the 102-94 loss.

Although Curry and Wall had polar opposite games Tuesday night, they each had highlight reel-worthy moments. Curry, known for being a 3-point threat, threw down a rim-rocking fast-break dunk, avoiding a block attempt by Garrett Temple of Washington.
But Curry wouldn’t fare as well when being chased down by Wall, who blocked Curry layup attempts not once but twice Tuesday.
Curry has a pair of Curry Two low releases hitting stores Friday, the “Bay Area” pack. The shoes feature colorways reminiscent of the uniforms of the Oakland A’s and San Francisco Giants.
