These Shoes by Stephon Marbury Can Be Controlled With an iPhone

After making headlines in 2015 for taking Michael Jordan to task over the price of his Air Jordans, Stephon Marbury is finding himself in the news again thanks to his inexpensive sneakers.

The former NBA player — whose $15 Starbury shoes earned Footwear News‘ Launch of the Year award in 2006 — has been making waves with his budget-priced footwear ever since his playing days. But Marbury’s latest creation is his most daring yet.

Marbury’s newest drop is the Starbury Elite Lightup, which features lights on its midsole that can be synced with music in the wearer’s phone. The lights boast six different solid and flashing color options that can be adjusted with a smartphone app or on the sneaker itself. In addition to the lights, the Starbury Elite Lightup can also be converted from a high-top to a low-top thanks to its detachable collar.
