Teen Gives Air Jordan Sneakers to Classmate Bullied for His Shoes

A bullied student got two unexpected gifts — a brand new pair of Air Jordan sneakers and some new friends.

In a video shared by musician Boosie Badazz today on Facebook, the heartwarming gesture took place in a gymnasium.

“I bought you some Js … I heard they were bullying you,” the student’s classmate said while presenting a box of Air Jordans.

“I don’t know what to say,” the shocked teen responded. “Do you want me to pay you or something?”

“No, I bought them for you,” the generous student explained.

Emotions were running high for another student who filmed it, admitting she “could cry.”

After lacing up his new kicks, the student embraced his new friend with a hug.

The video went viral and has so far earned more than 3 million views, 80,000 shares and 6,500 comments on the social media network.

Do-gooders who’ve been gifting others with sneakers has won the hearts of netizens recently. In October, Jerry Lorenzo shared videos of his Fear of God team donating sneakers and apparel to the Los Angeles homeless community on Skid Row, including a pair of $1,095 military boots.

“I drive through downtown L.A. every day — passing people sleeping in tents — people in sleeping bags on the concrete,” Lorenzo explained in the video. “That, coupled with the fact that I’m getting hit and blown up by all of my rich friends that can definitely afford to buy these that want free shoes to the kids that stand in line for hours to buy a pair just to flip ‘em. The value of the shoe to me is lost. We’re in the position to do something good and impact people — and that’s what we’re going to do.”
