Images circulated on the Internet before Air Max Day on March 26 of Supreme’s collaboration with Nike on the Air Max 98 silhouette. Today, the renowned retailer unveiled more images and announced the shoe’s release date.
The Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 drops Thursday. The shoes will be available online and in Supreme’s location in Japan; the shoes will not be sold at the retailer’s New York, Los Angeles, London or Paris locations.
The retailer has not released the retail price of the shoe.
The Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 will come in four colorways: white and gray with snakeskin print mesh; white, gray and red; white, gray and blue; and all black. In addition to the shoes, customers could pick up matching Supreme x Nike Dri-FIT Air Max running hats.
Sneakerheads began to salivate when the first images of the shoes appeared online right before Air Max Day and Nike’s Air Max Con events in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Each event featured art exhibitions, the opportunity to check out the Air Max Vault, on-site customization, and appearances by Nike athletes.
