Team USA men’s basketball has won gold for the third consecutive time after defeating Serbia, 96-66.
Nike-sponsored baller Kevin Durant’s moves on the court were particularly critical. He scored 30 points during the game on Sunday — the closing day of the Rio Olympics. Spain took the bronze medal.
The new Golden State Warriors star rocked his KD9 sneakers in a black colorway.
The victory set a new record for fellow Nike athlete Carmelo Anthony, who earned his third Olympic gold medal in the category — making him the first athlete to do so.
Speaking to NBC, Anthony announced that it would be his final turn at the Olympics.
“I know this is the end; this is it for me,” Anthony said. “I committed to this in ’04. I’ve seen the worst, and I’ve seen the best.”
Anthony had on a blue and white colorway of his signature Jordan Melo M12 shoes. The kicks are available on Nike.com for $110.
