The Rock Says His Under Armour Shoe Is Coming in 2017

Aside from his acting, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is known for his intense workouts — and posting them on Instagram. And if you checked out his rope work on social media today, you were also treated to a hint on the status of his signature Under Armour sneakers.

Johnson worked out in a prototype of what he referred to as his Rock Delta shoes, to make sure by the time they’re finally available in retail that “you’ll be working out in one of the greatest training shoes ever designed and engineered.” He also hinted at a possible release date, stating the shoes will be delivered in the first quarter of 2017.

The football player-turned-wrestler-turned actor has teased his fans with videos on social media talking about his sneakers and showing prototypes off, starting in August with a video on Instagram. The shoes he displayed were predominantly black and featured motivational phrases on the upper, tongues that read “Earn It” and “Blood, Sweat and Respect,” and Johnson’s “Brahma Bull” logo on the heels.

Since announcing his partnership with Under Armour, Johnson has delivered his own branded T-shirts, bags and an alarm clock app.
