NFL star Tom Brady caused quite the frenzy after he took to Facebook to tell his fans that he would be hiding three pairs of signed Uggs around Boston on Thursday. And while Christmas came early for three lucky New England Patriots fans, another wasn’t so lucky.
After seeing the announcement, Luke Barosky made it his mission to get a hand on those signed Uggs, but it didn’t go as planned. He didn’t get a pair — and in the process lost a tooth and suffered a bloody lip. “Sprinted like the wind. Fell like stone,” he posted on Facebook. Later on, he contacted Brady to tell his story, and to his surprise, the quarterback responded.
Barosky ended up getting a pair of the signed slippers for his efforts. “Thanks Tom. You’ve always been the best. Now we have scientific proof. Yes, REAL scientific proof,” he wrote in a comment.
