Stephen Curry & The Golden State Warriors Beat Michael Jordan Record

Under Armour-sponsored athlete Stephen Curry is giving Michael Jordan a real challenge. Last night, Curry and his Golden State Warriors toppled the Orlando Magic, 119-113, giving the Warriors their 45th straight home victory of the season.

That beat the record of 44 consecutive home wins, set by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the 1995-96 season.

When asked by ESPN how the Warriors have become so dominant at home, Curry said, “We have great fans, and they bring the noise and energy every single night. But I don’t know, we just found a winning recipe here. Found ways to win games ugly like tonight, pretty in other situations. It’s just been a good run.”

During the game against the Magic, Curry scored a total of 41 points and also made history himself by becoming the first NBA player to make 300 3-point shots in one season. And it’s only March. Without a doubt, there’s a lot more to come from this basketball phenom.

And Curry continues to challenge Jordan’s numbers off the court — his sneaker numbers, that is. Curry’s first two signature sneakers with Under Armour have been a sell-out item at sporting-goods stores. And they’ve even gained a coveted status among the highly discerning sneakerhead customer, according to market tracker StockX, which ranks the Curry One MVP style in the top 20 most popular sneakers on the resale market.

On March 15, Under Armour will drop a new colorway for the Curry Two called “Surprise Party.” The men’s shoe features a white upper, electric-blue logo and support panels, with a multicolored confetti-like sole and lining. It’s slated to retail for $130.
