Stephen Curry is doing the impossible, following up an MVP award-winning season with more triumphs on the court this season. The Golden State Warriors guard again demonstrated his elevated level of play last night against the tough San Antonio Spurs squad.
Curry and the Warriors trounced the Spurs, beating the Western Conference foe 120-90. The Under Armour-sponsored baller scored 37 points on 12-of-20 shooting, including hitting six three-pointers. The guard achieved this in just 28 minutes of play, sitting out for the entire fourth quarter.
Curry is averaging almost seven points a game more than he did last season, scoring an average of 30.3 points per game.
The sixth-year player out of Davidson College hit the court in an all-white player’s edition of the Curry Two. The only colors on his Under Armour signature shoe were hints of gray and black on the shoe’s upper and midsole. The brand has four upcoming Curry Two releases scheduled to drop before the All-Star Game in Toronto on Feb. 14: the Rainmaker Gray Storm on Friday, the BHM and Elite iterations on Feb. 6 and the All Star on Feb. 13.
Watch on FN
After last night’s thrashing of the Spurs, the Warriors — the NBA‘s second-best team — are scheduled to face the Dallas Mavericks at home tomorrow, the Philadelphia 76ers on the road on Saturday and away again to face the New York Knicks on Sunday.
