Under Armour & Yale University Announce Multi-Year Partnership

Baltimore-based athletic brand Under Armour has added to its roster of sponsored college teams today with the announcement of its partnership with Yale University. The deal makes Under Armour the official outfitter for Yale Athletics starting this year.

The multi-year pact is a milestone for Under Armour, as Yale is the first Ivy League institution the brand has partnered with. The deal with Yale is the brand’s 33rd Division I all-sports partnership.

“Yale University has a rich heritage of academic and athletic excellence. We are extremely proud to welcome them to the Under Armour family and to help elevate the performance of all Yale student-athletes with innovative footwear and apparel,” said Ryan Kuehl, VP of sports marketing for Under Armour, in a statement.

The brand will design and supply the footwear, apparel and accessories for training and game-day uniforms for the Bulldogs’ varsity sports. In addition to outfitting the Bulldogs’ athletic teams, Under Armour said it will integrate Yale into its storytelling efforts, including collegiate marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, in-store promotions and grassroots activations.
