Vans Introduces Spring 2016 Old Skool Sneakers Collection

The Vans Old Skool sneaker is one of the brand’s classics – a style that’s been around for much of the brand’s 50-year history.

For spring ’16, the style is getting an update with new colors, patterns and materials. Vans is partnering with skateboarder Elijah Berle and Clementine Creevy, the lead singer of the band Cherry Glazerr, to present the new collection.

Spring calls for punchy patterns, and Vans packed plenty into its collection. There’s a hula-girl print, stripes, classic checkerboard and floral. Some of the uppers are done in leather and feature a zipper detail for a fashion-forward look.

Vans chose Berle, one of skateboarding’s most impressive up-and-comers, to model the new takes on the classic style. Only 18, Berle has already won the Tampa AM skate competition and has been featured on the covers of several skate magazines.
