Danner Debuts Collab With Iron & Resin

Danner plans to hit the open road.

The heritage boot brand today launched a limited collaboration with Iron & Resin, a Southern California company that hand-produces a small collection of goods inspired by the outdoors.

The collection, available at select retailers, includes a boot, jacket and cap.

“For years, people having been wearing Danner boots while riding motorcycles,” Will Pennartz, senior marketing manager for Danner, said today in a statement. “The concept behind the collaboration was to create a versatile, USA-made collection, inspired by the types of conditions you can encounter while riding or exploring the West Coast this time of year.”

The boot, which sells for $350, comes with a suede leather upper, waxed canvas collar and stitchdown construction. In addition, the style, which is produced in Danner’s Portland, Ore., factory, features a Vibram outsole and supple leather lining.

The $375 jacket, meanwhile, is made of waxed canvas cotton and features both zip and button closures. The cap, selling for $55, is also produced with the same waxed canvas as the jacket. It has an adjustable back and boot lace visor trim. Both products are made in California.

“We’ve long been fans of Danner boots and have been using them on our own adventures for years,” Thom Hill, co-founder of Iron & Resin, said in the statement. “Designing this collection with Danner was an opportunity to build the ideal boot we would use both on and off a bike, scrambling around our local mountains and frequenting our favorite watering holes.”
