Could a ‘Triple Black’ Adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 Hit Stores Soon?

Adidas‘ Ultra Boost 3.0 spent far less time on the brand’s online store and in brick-and-mortar locations than it did being built up as its next must-have sneaker. And you can expect the same buying frenzy to occur if the shoe drops in a “Triple Black” colorway — which looks like it’s about to happen.

Images of an Adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 “Triple Black” surfaced late Tuesday night on Instagram, although the brand has not officially confirmed the shoe is in production or would be released at all.

The athletic giant’s coveted Ultra Boost 3.0 — with an improved Primeknit upper that gives the silhouette a better fit, improved support and breathability — made its debut in 11 colorways on Tuesday. The first run of the shoe boasted six colorways for men (white, black, blue, navy, burgundy and gray) and five for women (white, black, navy, blue and red).

The Ultra Boost 2.0 dropped with a “Triple Black” treatment on Dec. 1, with reservations for the shoe via Adidas’ Confirmed app staring on Nov. 29. The “Triple Black” Ultra Boost 2.0 was the first performance sneaker to appear on the app. It was also available for purchase on adidas.com.
