Fashion-Comfort Shoe Brands Expand With Coordinating Handbag Collections

Footwear companies are playing a match game these days, expanding their offerings with handbags that give consumers the opportunity to coordinate their accessories hand to foot.

This fall, European fashion-comfort brand The Flexx is adding a series of handbags to its mix, produced in Italy out of the brand’s signature nappa leathers.

The bags are done in soft, unconstructed silhouettes that allow for overstuffing, mandatory for today’s working women known to tote around lunch, an iPad, workout clothes and other items.

Like the footwear, which retails from $115 to $25o for tall boots, the bags are accessibly priced at $200. The full collection will be available in August at independent shoe stores that carry the footwear collection.

Like The Flexx, Bernie Mev, known for its collection of comfort-driven woven looks, has also been making a push into the handbag and accessories markets, with a full collection set to hit stores this fall that picks up its woven details.
