Michelle Obama stepped out in festive summer style on the way to the Vineyard.
The first lady rocked a pair of Fendi heels alongside President Barack Obama and her daughters, Malia and Sasha, in Washington, D.C., when they departed for Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., to enjoy their annual family vacation.
The label’s colorblock Flowerland calf leather sandals were an apt statement shoe for a sunny getaway, featuring playful floral appliqué with metallic enameled studs.
Chic and sensible, the design includes a low 2.25-inch block heel, a padded footbed and an adjustable halter ankle-wrap strap. The shoes retail for $900 online.
She completed the look with a navy blue wrap dress that featured striking red piping.

The first family will be on a break for two weeks.
The getaway comes a day after Michelle threw a star-studded bash for President Obama to celebrate his 55th birthday, which was on Thursday.
Celebrity guests included comedian-shoe designer Ellen DeGeneres, Nick Jonas, Samuel L. Jackson, Al Roker and basketball icon Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie, who shared on Instagram that she had on her Prada “dancing shoes” for the private event.
“Happy birthday President@barackobama!!” she captioned a photo in which she posed alongside her husband. “Can’t wait to get down, I have on my dancing shoes.”
