SoleFly to Release a Limited-Edition Air Jordan 23 Collaboration

Following the May release of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 23 celebrating the grand opening of Michael Jordan’s son’s sneaker store, the Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe is lined up for another collaboration with a Florida-based boutique.

This time it’s another family affair — Miami-based boutique SoleFly (owned by the NBA legend’s brother-in-law Carlos Prieto) will be getting its own Air Jordan 23 collab.

Based on the preview shared by SoleFly on Instagram, the Air Jordan 23 collaboration is inspired by the Florida Marlins baseball franchise (now known as the Miami Marlins). More specifically, the emerald green-tinted Air Jordans are said to be a celebration of the Marlins’ 1997 World Series victory.

The Air Jordan 23 made its debut in 2008 and was the first Air Jordan sneaker to be part of Nike’s eco-friendly Considered program. It’s also notable for being the 23rd Air Jordan, the same number that Jordan made famous on the court. At the time of its release, Jordan said, “The number 23 is obviously of great significance to me, and the release of the [Air Jordan] 23 is a pinnacle moment in the [Jordan] Brand’s history.”
