The Best Backstage Shoe Shots At Paris Fashion Week Fall ’16

Often times, it’s hard to get a good look at all the beautiful footwear when it hits the runway. Models walk quickly and photographers are stationed at the end of the runway. But backstage is where we can really get a glimpse of all the details we couldn’t see.

At Dries Van Noten, it looked as if models were wearing simple ankle booties done in velvet and snake print. But backstage, we got a look at the rounded bulbous heels that had a metallic wrap around the top of the heel.

At Isabel Marant, photographers backstage gave us a closer look at the cool-girl pointed-toe flat booties accented with bold buckling, thick stitching and animal prints.

Models backstage at Moncler Gamme Rouge had fun with the chunky clogs, kicking up their feet and posing with the shoes.

The boots at Sonia Rykiel took inspiration from the house’s Rykiel women—sketches of their faces were printed all over mustard yellow and burgundy boots. It was hard to see these renderings on the runway, but backstage we got a look at the inspired idea.
