At Chloé, the neutral shoe (worn with tonal layers) continues to be house designer Claire Waight Keller’s favorite kind of footwear. And with good reason: She does them very well. In a season of tricky shoes that threatened to trump the ensemble, hers at Paris Fashion Week were pure, simple and subtle. In a word: chic.
Asymmetrical ankle-strapped leather sandals had a slight cone heel and buckling at the ankle — a wise option for the kind of woman who doesn’t have time to change her shoes from day to night. Some had nailhead studding along the sole. With the two-strap heel becoming a bit too ubiquitous, here was a newer option.
