The Marc Jacobs spring 2017 presentation at New York Fashion Week got plenty of Insta-approval from his famous friends who sat front row.
But before Courtney Love, Christina Ricci and Zosia Mamet, among others, took to Instagram to share the revelry with their fans, the designer used the social networking platform to share one of his preshow rituals.
“Every season the night before our show, we cover a table in cakes for our incredible production and design teams,” Jacobs posted a day ahead of the presentation.
Stomping down the catwalk in a variety of sky-high platforms at the show were Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima and more supermodels.

It seems Christina Ricci might be developing a preshow ritual, too. The actress took advantage of her driver’s stash of sweets and devoured Twizzlers candies and a can of Diet Coke while en route to see the designer’s latest looks, she shared on Instagram.
Meanwhile, rocker Love shared her dolled-up look for the event — posting an image of her glamorous makeup and outfit while posing in bed. The musician later posed with film producer Mohammed Al Turk at the fashion show and praised the presentation, writing, “So much fun at Marc.”

“Girls” star Mamet described a model’s look on the catwalk as “disco dreams” in her Instagram photo. And actress Malin Akerman said she was in a “dreamlike state at the Marc Jacobs show” when she captioned a selfie with actress Carla Gugino.
Jacobs’ show also attracted supermodel Niki Taylor, Demi Lovato, Whoopi Goldberg, Sofia Coppola, Yolanda Foster, Leona Lewis, Deborah Harry, Tracee Ellis Ross and more.
