Givenchy Makes a Case for Socks and Heels at Paris Fashion Week

At Givenchy, the most obvious idea at play seemed to be the notion of bundling up. To wit, guests were given out sheets of foil to wrap themselves in as thermal blankets (or an ad hoc shawl) that made for quite the conceptual audience costume today at Paris Fashion Week.

This idea of keeping cozy extended to shoes as well, with lace-up mules (done on low heels) worn with sweet bobby socks in chromatic hues.

Elsewhere, flora printed styles attempted to merge cropped cowboy boots with Oxford laceups. It didn’t quite work as well as the demi-heels, but certainly provided some Wild West whimsy along the way.
