Shoe of the Day at Paris Fashion Week Men’s: Thom Browne’s High-Heel Boot

Day 5

Men in skirts? Old hat. But men in heels, now there’s a thing. Our shoe of the day is Thom Browne’s high-heel shoe boot. The ’40s-style concoction was sported by male models in a show that took the form of an alternative wedding and marked the launch of the designer’s womenswear/non-gender-specific debut. The boys walked very slowly. Bless their little stripy socks.

Day 4

Today’s shoe of the day is by Acne Studios. Jonny Johansson’s leather slippers came so intricately woven, they looked as if they had been crocheted. Best in show were a a white and midnight mesh edged with a shot of sunset yellow. The perfect compromise between a slipper and a sandal, they’re breezy on the toes, and you can get away with wearing them between pedicures. Happy days.

Day 3

With Pigalle Thursday, Les Benjamins today and Off White designer Virgil Abloh’s being teased left right and center, Nike has hit the ground running with its collabs this season. But Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo’s took some beating at Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

Our shoe of the day is the Nike Air 180 that starred in her disco extravaganza. Best in show? We’re loving those hot-pink and black numbers. Retro kicks are totally on trend, and these are as good as it gets.
