Princess Eugenie chose Peter Pilotto duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos to create her wedding dress. Her shoes were created by maverick British cobbler Charlotte Olympia.
The choice of Peter Pilotto was something of a curveball, but a welcome one. The younger royal wore a white backless dress. She eschewed a veil, instead opting for just the Greville emerald Kokoshnik tiara belonging to the queen and a pair of diamond and emerald drop earrings made for her by then-fiancé, now husband, Jack Brooksbank, as a wedding present.
The backless dress showed the scars from a back surgery. The princess, who was diagnosed with scoliosis, underwent corrective procedure when she was 12 whereby a pair of 8-inch titanium rods were inserted to strengthen her spine.

Princess Eugenie met the designers when she was co-hosting an event in support of the Artemis Council for Women Artists. Pilotto and de Vos worked closely with the princess on the design, drawing ideas from the silhouettes of previous dresses worn by members of the royal family.
The dress consists of a corset, complex underskirt, fitted bodice, pleated skirt and full-length train. The low-back feature was at the specific request of the princess, who was keen not to hide her scars.
The fabric included motifs that are meaningful to the princess: a Scottish thistle, an Irish shamrock, an English York rose and ivy, which were a nod to the couple’s home. The design duo reinterpreted these symbols into a garland in their East London studio. They had the design woven into a jacquard at a mill in Italy’s Como region.
As for those all important Charlotte Olympia heels, the bespoke style was handcrafted, in Italy using the same silk jacquard as the dress. The shoes were a feminine T-bar with a small peep toe and block heel.
The princess carried a bouquet by Patrice van Hellen Oakes. Sonny-Jo MacFarlane from swanky Chelsea hair salon Hari’s was behind her coiffeur, while her makeup look was down to Bobbi Brown’s Hannah Martin. London-based florist Rob Van Helden created the flowers for the wedding using foliage and flowering branches, sourced locally from Windsor Great Park, and combined them with roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and berries.
The younger daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, married drinks executive Jack Brooksbank today at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, England. The couple followed in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who also chose the venue for their own wedding in May.
Celebrities in attendance included Cara Delevingne, Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, Naomi Campbell, Robbie Williams and Pixie Geldof.
