Y/Project will show its men’s fall ’19 collection in Florence, Italy, as the guest brand of the next edition of international menswear trade show Pitti Uomo, running Jan. 8 to 11.
Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, the Paris-based label won the Andam Grand Prize award in 2017.
“Glenn Martens created for Y/Project a new aesthetic language, based on contradictions,” said Pitti Immagine communication and events director Lapo Cianchi. “Elegance is juxtaposed with eclectic and extravagant references, streetwear is enriched with historic details and exaggerated couture touches.
“The brand offers a highly conceptual design in line with the most advanced projects in the market, and Martens expresses a witty sense of humor and has a very personal fashion vision, based on freedom, experimentation and fun, without boundaries.”
