The Next Adidas Yeezy Release Is Coming Next Week

Kanye West seems to be turning much of his attention back to new music this summer, but fans of his sneakers need not worry, because his Adidas Yeezy line isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Up next for the coveted footwear by the music and fashion icon: the Yeezy 500 “Supermoon Yellow.” Officially confirmed by Adidas Originals in a recent tweet, the shoe, also known as the “Desert Rat,” is back for another release in this pale yellow colorway on June 9.

The “Supermoon Yellow” colorway was actually the very first version of the model to be sold but was available only on the Yeezy Supply website as part of a $760 bundle with clothing from the Yeezy Season 6 line last December. This time around, the shoe will be both more affordable and easier to acquire, as it is set to release (sans clothing bundle) globally online from Adidas and at select retailers for $200.

The Yeezy 500 is the newest member of West’s sneaker line and is therefore the hottest on the market. The design draws inspiration from vintage Adidas footwear, updated with a modern aesthetic. The sole is actually a “Feet You Wear” design taken from Kobe Bryant’s third Adidas signature sneaker, the KB8 III. The upper is more influenced by running footwear, with a low cut and sporty mesh paneling to go along with the suede and leather construction.

This “Supermoon Yellow” edition follows up the “Blush” colorway that arrived in April. And just like the last release (and every other Yeezy sneaker for that matter), you can expect these to go quickly. If you want a pair, don’t hesitate when they launch next week.
