The summer heat wave is in full effect across the nation, but Jordan Brand is about to cool things down — at least for your sneaker rotation — with a new Air Jordan 3 featuring an icy “Pure White” colorway.
Following the “International Flight” edition in June, the pristine look for the iconic silhouette releases July 21 for $190.
The “Pure White” colorway will instantly call to mind a former all-white Air Jordan 3, the “Pure Money” edition from 2007. Collectors hoping to add a fresh (or first) pair of white-on-white Jordan 3s to their closet finally get a chance 11 years later, and this time, the brand ups the ante for the super-clean aesthetic with icy clear detailing.
Featuring a full-grain leather upper in white with the signature elephant pattern paneling and all branding presented tonally, the Air Jordan 3 adds a translucent, blue-tinted rubber outsole for a frigid look to the classic sneaker. The three middle plastic lace eyelets also go clear to add to the icy appearance. For the final touch, the Air Jordan 3’s accompanying Jumpman logo hangtag keychain, usually in orange, also goes all clear.
