Update: How to Buy the Nike x Grateful Dead SB Dunk Lows

Update: July 24, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET

The Nike x Grateful Dead SB Dunk Lows hit the shelves — and sold out within minutes.

The highly-anticipated sneakers dropped in neon green, yellow and orange colorways this morning, all with the original retail price of $110. Now, the pairs are hitting the resale market with impressive price upticks. The orange iteration is the rarest as it only dropped at San Francisco retailer FTC. Pairs resell anywhere from $3,500 to $6,999 at StockX.com.

The green SB Dunks are the next most hard-to-find colorway as they only were available at select skate shops — you can shop the pairs now ranging in price from $1,449 up to $2,231. The third and final iteration, the sunshine yellow sneakers, hit the SNKRS app this morning and already resell for as high as $2,500.

Hold on to your seats, Deadheads: new colorways of Nike’s fuzzy sneakers have now been confirmed by the brand itself.

Nike announced this morning that it will be releasing the bright green, yellow and orange iterations of its long-awaited Grateful Dead SB Dunks. The pairs, which leaked across social media in the spring, feature elements inspired by the band’s 1973 album “History of the Grateful Dead, Volume 1 (Bear’s Choice).” The orange colorway drops on July 18 exclusively at San Francisco retailer FTC, while the yellow version releases on July 24 through the SNKRS app and at select skate shops. The green colorway drops on July 24 as well but will only be available at select skate shops.

What We Originally Reported on May 27, 2020

Two new photos of bright orange and neon yellow Nike SB Dunk Low colorways surfaced yesterday. The can’t-miss styles follow suit with the designs of the first leaked green sneaker with panels of fuzzy faux fur on the toe box, sides and collar. The fluorescent yellow iteration includes contrasting pops of sky blue while the orange version adds in accents of fresh green and white.

Completed with colored outsoles, the shoes reportedly pay homage to the iconic dancing bears that first debuted on the back cover of the band’s 1973 live album “History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear’s Choice).” The collaborators incorporated a jagged swoosh reminiscent of the bears’ collars. The pair also includes a hidden stash pocket on the tongue with a subtle zipperm that Grateful Dead’s most dedicated followers will certainly find useful.

The green pair, as seen on @sneakerjamz’s Instagram, layers together pops of a deeper blue that is then echoed across the finish on the textured outsole.

The three styles have yet to be confirmed by Nike itself, with no announcement of a set release date either.
