You Can Now Shop for Abercrombie & Fitch at Zappos — And the New Partners Are Launching Shoes

Abercrombie & Fitch has teamed up with Zappos. Beginning today, the e-tailer will be Abercrombie’s exclusive U.S. e-commerce partner.

Customers will now be able to shop denim and tops on Zappos.com. In addition, Abercrombie & Fitch is launching its first-ever footwear collection in collaboration with Zappos. The exclusive capsule was designed with Zappos as a consultant and features eight styles, including an ankle boot, stovepipe boot, court sneaker and strappy heel.

The shoe line retails from $99 to $199.

Zappos’ GM and Chief Merchant Jeff Espersen said this collection stands out against competitors for its inclusive sizing, which ranges from size 6 to 15. With the partnership, Zappos is looking to garner new consumers as well as bolster its apparel and denim business, Espersen added.

“Abercrombie fits very well. It hits the younger consumers and the heart of our consumer,” he said. “We have a strong focus on clothing and how we grow that category. We want to grow the right way and this is one way. For a brand of their size to be able to infer a brand of our size to come together, I think it is really important for the consumer.”

Watch on FN

To celebrate the launch of Abercrombie & Fitch on Zappos, the e-tailer will highlight the brand’s denim in its virtual Denim Shop via a two-week takeover. Shoppers will be able to find suggested pairings of denim and Abercrombie shoes. Abercrombie kids apparel will also be available in the assortment, which can be seen through Zappos’ outfit inspirations for “Mom’s & Mini’s” that features matching looks for both.

The launch comes just in time for the back-to-school season as well as back-to-office. Despite consumer demand for comfort looks this past year, Zappos is banking on consumers getting dressed up again.

Espersen said, “We’re seeing a really good uptick in denim, dress flats and heels. And we’re seeing some early reads on boots already.”
