Tyler the Creator’s Golf Wang Has Reunited With Converse on a Flame-Adorned Chuck 70 Hi

Golf Wang and Converse are back together.

The streetwear brand, founded by rapper Tyler the Creator, has joined forces once more with the footwear company to give the Chuck 70 Hi a vibrant new makeover.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Golf Wang shared a slideshow of promotional photos of the newest design, which features the classic kick covered in pink, purple and blue flames plastered against faded yellow uppers. In the caption of the post, the label revealed that the kick will arrive on July 8.

Converse also announced the drop, sharing on the brand’s website that the sneaker will launch at 10 a.m. ET on Converse.com.

The vibrant design will certainly be familiar to fans as the print is a signature one for Tyler and Golf Wang — as are the neutral tones.

Tyler and Golf Wang’s work with Converse first began in the summer of 2017 when he upgraded the Converse One Star. This design features fuzzy green uppers and Tyler’s flower on the lateral sides. The plant has since defined Tyler’s Golf le Fleur collection.

Also in 2017, Tyler dropped the Chuck 70, which reinterprets the kick with straw-law uppers and cream accents. In 2019, Tyler launched the Gianno, which resembles ice cream as it is dipped with hues of pink, light chocolate and white.

The release of the new Chuck 70 comes on the heels of Tyler’s latest album, “Call Me If You Get Lost,” a project that is equipped with 16 songs and features big stars, including: Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Pharrell Williams and more.
