Calleen Cordero‘s latest campaign is here. Known for her U.S.-produced collection, the designer decided to shoot the images at her personal retreat center in Calliote Canyon in Ojai, Calif.
Fashion photographer Maggie West was brought on board. “My two worlds collided with this campaign. Being able to shoot my collection at my retreat center was so inspiring,” said Cordero. “Nature is something I have always drawn my inspiration from.”

The designer recently spoke to FN about the benefits of producing in Los Angeles: “There are so many advantages — and it’s especially a designer’s dream come true — to be able to conceptualize a design and have it brought to life before your very own eyes. Another is having a lighter footprint on the environment by not having to source or manufacture overseas,” she said. “We make most of our components in-house, and the rest we source locally. This allows us the luxury of being able to oversee all aspects of production and quality.”
