April 27, 2017: DSW Inc. appointed Nordstrom Inc. veteran Michele Love as its EVP and COO, effective May 1. She will oversee all aspects of consumer engagement, marketing and digital. The executive has worked at Nordstrom for the last 32 years, in several leadership capacities, and she most recently spearheaded the expansion of Nordstrom Rack. Love will report directly to DSW’s CEO, Roger Rawlins. Additionally, the company appointed James Weinberg as GMM of women’s footwear and Nancy Pastor as GMM of accessories. Those executives will report directly to DSW’s vice chairman and chief merchandising officer, Debbie Ferrée.
April 26, 2017: HSN Inc. announced that Mindy Grossman will step down as CEO in order to assume a leadership position with another public company. (Weight Watchers International Inc. announced today that Grossman will take the top spots as president and CEO of the company, effective July 2017.) Grossman’s resignation will be effective on May 24, 2017, and she will not stand for election to the board of directors at the annual Meeting of shareholders on the same date. In the interim, she will work with senior management and the board to ensure a smooth transition, the company said. The board has retained a national search firm to assist with the search for a successor that will include both internal and external candidates. In addition, HSN said its board has established the “Office of the Chief Executive” whose members will manage the company’s day-to-day operations and until Grossman’s successor is named.
April 25, 2017: As a part of a companywide reorganization, which includes 250 layoffs, J.Crew Group Inc. also overhauled its top-management ranks. J.Crew Group president, COO and CFO Michael Nicholson will additionally assume responsibility for the J.Crew brand which includes the planning and allocation, merchandising, marketing and design functions. Lisa Greenwald has been named chief merchandising officer of the J.Crew Brand. Somsack Sikhounmuong was also named chief design officer, effective April 5, 2017.

Libby Wadle has been named president of the Madewell Brand. She joined the company in 2004 and most recently she served as president of the J.Crew brand.
April 19, 2017: Canada-based luxury retailer Holt Renfrew has appointed Linda DeFrances and Manuel Frei to its senior executive team, both reporting directly to Mario Grauso, president of Holt Renfrew. DeFrances has been named SVP and GMM to lead all merchant divisions for the company. Defrances has held various leadership roles with fashion retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York. Frei — who spent time at Laird + Partners, Bally and Moncler — has been named creative director. In this newly created position, he will lead the overall creative direction for the Holt Renfrew brand with all aspects of marketing and communications, fashion direction and store design.
April 6, 2017: Emilio Pucci creative director Massimo Giorgetti is exiting the European fashion house. Giorgetti will leave this month. His last collection for Pucci will be for resort 2018. The contract was believed to be a three-year deal, but the two parties have mutually agreed not to renew it. Giorgetti joined the company in April 2015, succeeding Peter Dundas, and showed his first collection in September that year during Milan Fashion Week.
April 6, 2017: Josh Schulman has been appointed president and CEO of the Coach brand. Schulman previously worked at the Neiman Marcus Group, where he served as President, Bergdorf Goodman and NMG International. He joined the Neiman Marcus Group in 2012 after serving as CEO of Jimmy Choo Ltd. from 2007-12. Schulman has also held executive roles at Gap Inc., Gucci and Saint Laurent. In this newly created role, Schulman will be responsible for all aspects of the Coach brand globally and will report to Coach Inc. CEO Victor Luis.
April 5, 2017: Perry Oosting has been appointed CEO of Robert Clergerie. Oostling worked in executive roles at luxury brands such as Bulgari ,Prada and Gucci for some 24 years before moving into the technology industry as CEO at luxury mobile-phone company Vertu and Swedish photographic company Hasselblad. He succeeds Eva Taub, who joined the company in 2012 following an investment by First Heritage Brands.
April 4, 2017: Aerosoles Group has appointed Denise Incandela to be CEO. Current Aerosoles President and CEO R. Shawn Neville is relocating for family reasons, but will assume the role of executive chairman of the board, effective immediately. Incandela, who most recently served as president of Ralph Lauren Global Digital and CIEM, has also been appointed to Aerosole’s board of directors. Incandela also spent 14-plus years at Saks Fifth Avenue in senior roles, including EVP & chief marketing officer.
April 3, 2017: Jenna Lyons is exiting her role as president and creative director of J.Crew Group Inc. Lyons will remain a creative adviser to the company through yearend. She worked at J.Crew for 26 years and has been president and creative director since 2012. Somsack Sikhounmuong, head of women’s design, will be promoted to chief design officer, overseeing the women’s, men’s and children’s design teams, effective immediately. He will report to Chairman and CEO Millard “Mickey” Drexler.
April 3, 2017: Yoox Net-a-Porter Group (YNAP) has appointed Alessandra Rossi president of its off-season business. In her new role, Rossi will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Off-Season division, which includes Yoox and The Outnet. She succeeds Luca Martines. Martines will now refocus on accelerating YNAP’s expansion in Asia-Pacific. Rossi joins the YNAP executive team and will report to Federico Marchetti, CEO of YNAP. Prior to rejoining in her new role, Rossi held several roles at Yoox in the past, including operations manager, head of buying and managing director of Yoox before moving to London in April 2015 for family reasons.
