Two Ten’s ‘Footwear Cares’ Month Starts Today

Two Ten kicks off its 2015 Footwear Cares month of volunteer service today. This year’s theme is “Getting People Back on Their Feet.” Over the next three days, 17 companies will package meals, provide clothes for lower-income children, walk in support of pediatric cancer research and perform environmental cleanup.

During the weeks to come, the organization expects to have 109 companies engaged in Footwear Cares, which is partnering with Amazon Fashion as the title sponsor. Thousands of volunteers will lend a hand in 85 locations, according to Two Ten.

“It’s a great tribute to the people who work in our industry that Footwear Cares has achieved such an amazing success since launching just three years ago,” said Two Ten President Neal Newman in a blog post. “No other industry comes together to help make the world a better place [the way we do]. Through Footwear Cares, Two Ten touches thousands and thousands of footwear employees in an entirely new way and distinguishes our industry from every other.”
