Avia Introduces Wearable Fitness Collection

Add Avia to the list of footwear and apparel brands joining the wearable technology battle.

The active-lifestyle brand, owned by Sequential Brands Group Inc., announced today the introduction of a full line of wearable-fitness accessories at major retailers nationwide.

Avia has long been known for its athletic footwear and activewear apparel, and now the brand has launched a key category expansion with the help of its technology-and-innovation partner, Lifeworks.

The brand’s first collection of wearables includes Bluetooth-enabled activity trackers, digital pedometers and heart-rate monitors, smartphone armbands, active-sport earbuds, performance insoles, headbands, waistbands and other running/fitness accessories, the company said in a release.

“Avia is a lifestyle brand that truly resonates with the everyday active consumer who seeks trusted and affordable products that will help them lead a healthier lifestyle,” said Eddie Esses, president of Sequential’s active division, in the release. “We are thrilled to expand the Avia brand with the introduction of innovative wearables and increase our product offering with incredible retailer partners.”
