Reigning Champ Is Closing Its Los Angeles Store

Premium athleticwear brand Reigning Champ is closing its Los Angeles storefront.

The Vancouver-based company announced that it is closing its LA door, which is located at 115 South La Brea Avenue, via statement on Instagram.

“Dear LA, we’ve made the very difficult decision to close the doors of our Los Angeles location on La Brea, effective this month,” Reigning Champ wrote on the social media platform.

The statement continued, “We thank you for your continued support and would be remiss not to recognize how instrumental our team was in building relationships with our LA community and beyond.”

Although the store is closing, the statement made it clear that Reigning Champ is not done with LA. “This is a temporary goodbye to LA as we do have plans to reopen in the future and look forward to establishing the next chapter of Reigning Champ in the City of Angels,” the brand wrote.

Although Reigning Champ is an apparel company, and doesn’t produce footwear aside from its slides, the brand has engaged in several sneaker collaborations since its inceptions. Among the most notable collabs Reigning Champ has delivered include collections with Adidas (featuring the UltraBoost and Pure Boost X, released in November 2017) and the “Gym Pack” with New Balance in August 2016.
