Britney Spears kicked of the Billboard Music Awards 2016 with a medley of her hits.
The princess of pop hit the stage in a red, crystal-embossed costume paired with matching red-heeled boots. Spears performed fan favorites such as “Toxic,” “Womanizer” and “I’m A Slave 4 U.”
The pop star made her BBMA debut in 1999 when she performed “Baby One More Time” and “Crazy.” That same year she won New Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Female Albums Artist of the Year and Female Singles Artist of the Year.
She took home two more awards in the years following: for Albums Artist of the Year in 2000, then the Hot Dance Sales Single of the Year in 2004 for her “Me Against the Music” song with Madonna.
Tonight, Spears is set to receive the Millennium Award. So far, Beyoncé and Whitney Houston have been the only artists to receive the award.

Earlier, Spears walked the carpet in a pair of statement Schutz Karlyanna gladiator sandals and Reem Acra dress.
