Fashion Industry Shows Support For Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner today unveiled herself to the world with a Vanity Fair cover story, shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

With the new images surfacing, and as expected, immediately trending online, there has been an outpouring of support for Jenner, both from her own family as well as the fashion and footwear industry at large.

Shoe designer, Brian Atwood took to Twitter, with the below post, congratulating Jenner and Vanity Fair on the story, adding the hashtag #theworldischanging.

Other industry power players, such as Zac Posen have used their own platforms and social reach to encourage people to support those experiencing similar situations.

Celebrities such as Emmy Rossum, Gigi Hadid, Maria Shriver, Eliza Dushku, Lily Aldridge, Kerry Washington, Tyra Banks and Ellen DeGeneres are among the growing list of names that have openly showed their support.

In an interview with Jenner, a snippet of which is appearing on Vanity Fair’s Instagram account, Jenner says “Caitlyn doesn’t have an secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”

 

In under two hours and with only 2 tweets, Caitlyn Jenner’s official Twitter account had already amassed close to 700K followers.
