London’s Istituto Marangoni Has a New $1.1 Million Scholarship for Aspiring Accessories Designers

Who will be the next Paula Cademartori or Domenico Dolce? If you’re dreaming of a career in the world of accessories, the Italian fashion and design school Istituto Marangoni might open a door for you.

The institute’s London branch has launched its annual scholarship program, worth 1 million euros, or $1.1 million at current exchange. Founded in 2003, Istituto Marangoni’s school in the English capital is situated in the aptly named Fashion Street, in the city’s hip Shoreditch area.

The scholarship includes a course in Fashion Design & Accessories, which has a strong footwear focus. This particular course debuted in October alongside a range of new undergraduate fashion courses with specializations in menswear, womenswear, visual merchandising, buying and new media. The scholarships can be assigned to cover a student’s full tuition fees, 50 percent deductions or a discount of $6,228. Applications can be submitted until Jan. 15 via Istituto Marangoni’s dedicated portal.
