Ellie Goulding Releases ’50 Shades’ Song

If you really needed another reason to get pumped for “50 Shades of Grey,” Ellie Goulding just dropped an exclusive song from the movie’s soundtrack.

“Love Me Like You Do” was released Wednesday and is the most recent track to hit from the film’s score. The Weeknd previously released “Earned It” from the soundtrack, and Beyonce’s soulful and sultry version of “Crazy in Love” was used in the movie’s promos.

It’s the first new music we’ve heard from Goulding in over a year, and it’s a refreshing single for the artist. Goulding is soulful and takes it slower with lyrics like: “On the edge of paradise / Every inch of your skin is a holy gray I’ve got to find / Only you can set my heart on fire / Yeah, I’ll let you set the pace.” Looks like the perfect fit for the recently R-rated film.

Now if we could just get Goulding to release a music video to go along with the song. The singer has a penchant for playful shoes: She wore light-up sneakers in her video “Goodness Gracious” and collaborated with Nike in 2013, so we’d have big expectations for any “50 Shades” video.
